Salary: £33,966 to £45,585 per annum, depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

Applications are invited for three Careers Adviser posts within the Careers and Employability Service. The successful candidates will be joining a large service which is committed to working together to combine the skills, insights and experience of teams working directly with students, academics, employers, and other stakeholders, with those of our enabling teams to develop and deliver a consistently high level of service and professional standards. 

The role holders will work in partnership within the Faculty of Social Science (2 posts – one with a Nottingham University Business School Focus), or across the Faculties of Arts and Social Science (1 post), to engage with the education and student experience of their students. The successful candidates will deliver expert services in order to advance the graduate prospects and outcomes of our students and graduates. This could mean working on employability skills development in one school, supporting work-based learning in another and delivering a workshop or module in a third. The posts will include responsibility for supporting placement activity across the faculties and schools. Whilst based at University Park your work will take you across our other Nottingham based campuses. 

The key to success in these roles is flexibility in handling the variety of projects and the ability to engage and collaborate with service, academic and other professional service colleagues to deliver against multiple agendas. The successful candidates will be qualified and experienced in career development, professional development, HR, teaching, or other related roles where they can demonstrate a track record of innovation, success and impact from high quality delivery. The roles will involve occasional evening and weekend work, according to the needs of the Faculties and the service.

These posts are available on a permanent basis. Hours of work are 36.25 hours per week, Hybrid working options are available, with an expectation that the successful candidate will spend 60% of their time working on campus. Job share arrangements may be considered.
