The Faculty of Science, Technology and Medicine (FSTM) contributes multidisciplinary expertise in the fields of Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, Life Sciences and Medicine. Through its dual mission of teaching and research, the FSTM seeks to generate and disseminate knowledge and train new generations of responsible citizens, in order to better understand, explain and advance society and environment we live in.
The University of Luxembourg is looking for its Faculty of Science, Technology and Medicine (Department of Mathematics) for a Post-doc in Number Theory.
The position is funded by the Luxembourg National Research Fund (FNR) in the project AFR-Bilateral/Quebec/SESAME and includes 6 months of research stays in Montreal. It is jointly supervised by Henri Darmon (McGill University, Montreal), Chantal David (Concordia University Montreal), Antonella Perucca and Gabor Wiese (University of Luxembourg).
Your Role…
- Participation in the research activities of the AFR-Bilateral/Quebec/SESAME project
- Teaching activity of 2-4 hours per week at the University of Luxembourg
- Active participation in and support of the organization of the activities of the research groups
- Assistance with organisational and administrational tasks in the project AFR-Bilateral/Quebec/SESAME
