Your Role…
Successful candidates will join the young, vibrant, and interdisciplinary FINATRAX Research Group, which builds bridges between business research and information systems engineering. The group conducts research on the application and the impact of digital technologies like DLT/Blockchain, Digital Identities, Machine Learning/AI, and Smart Devices on organisations from both the private and public sectors. The group consists of doctoral and post[1]doctoral researchers from diverse backgrounds (e.g., policy, business, technology), united in pursuit of sustainable technologies that positively impact society. The candidate will perform the following tasks:
We are looking for a candidate to join our team with the following responsibilities:
- Supporting in-depth research in the field of NLP and staying updated on the latest advancements and trends.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to seamlessly integrate NLP solutions into various industrial applications and existing systems.
- Utilizing Large Language Models to develop conversational AI services that enhance and streamline user interactions as a tool
- Creating reusable patterns, libraries, and datasets to optimize the efficiency of our development processes.
- Actively participating in projects and taking ownership of preparing project deliverables.
- Implementing state-of-the-art deep learning models by studying and implementing research papers.
As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research, collaborate with diverse teams, and play a crucial role in developing NLP solutions that revolutionize user experiences. Additionally, once selected, candidates will engage in project assignments within the Finatrax team while (likely) being allocated to an industry partnership with ENOVOS. Successful candidates will thus have the opportunity to explore a broad range of technologies and application areas. As such, successful candidates will be able to align their skills with market needs and build an attractive profile demonstrating their experience with innovative designs and technologies.
Your Profile…
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems
(Engineering), or related fields with an AI background - Strong programming skills in at least one major programming language
- Familiarity with technologies such as Python, TensorFlow, Huggingface, and PyTorch
- Interest in cloud-based architectures
- Familiarity with relevant LLMs and interest in semantic/cognitive search are beneficial
- A collaborative team player with a desire to make a personal impact within our interdisciplinary
research group - The commitment to participate in the design and implementation of high-quality solutions that solve
significant problems - Self-initiative, creativity, curiosity, flexibility and enthusiasm to work
- The position requires English-language proficiency for both written and verbal communication.
Knowledge of French, German and/or Luxembourgish is not required
