The present Senior Project Coordinator position is within the unit Digital Health & Mental Health – research in collaboration with the public hosting U-CARE, an interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary research program (http://www.u-care.uu.se), and the research group Healthcare Sciences and e-health at the Department of Women’s and Children’s Health. We specialize in the development, piloting, evaluation, and implementation of e-Mental Health interventions for people with somatic disease, and their significant others. We have several international collaborations and our broad competence within research methodology was acknowledged in the latest evaluation of research conducted at Uppsala University. Your essential tasks will be to:
In this role, you will support the research group leader and deputy group leader to:
- Develop and deliver the research group’s research, impact, and innovation strategy
- Expand the research group’s funding portfolio by identifying relevant funding opportunities and disseminate this information to relevant research group members
- Support research group members in grant preparation/writing to ensure the submission of high-quality funding applications that are in line with funders’ criteria
- Co-ordinate research development support for complex, strategically important, and high value research proposals
- Draft guidance and templates for relevant non-academic sections of research proposals
- Provide advice and guidance on grant application costing in line with funder and university policy
- Support academics in liaising with collaborators and external partners, including creating grant agreements, for example in collaboration with the University Legal Department and other relevant professional services
- Develop and maintain working relationships with Swedish and European funding bodies, including relevant charities
- Build strong relationships with university research support services and other relevant professional services
- Prepare for internal and external research assessment exercises including monitoring key performance indicators for the group’s research, teaching, and innovation activities
- Ensure that the strengths and impact of our research are communicated internally, nationally, and internationally to academic, clinical, and public audiences
- Develop new approaches to communicate and visualize information about our research beyond the academic community
- Monitor and enforce compliance with applicable research standards
- Line management of administration and research support staff, including the appropriate allocation of work and projects, to support the communication and research development activities

Requirements:
To be eligible for this position you will have:
- A Master’s degree
- Experience of working within an interdisciplinary research environment
- Experience of working in a similar role within higher education, or other relevant organisation, in developing and supporting strategic research development activities
- Project management experience
- An understanding of Swedish and European rules and guidelines concerning good research practices
- Excellent ability to write in the English and Swedish language
- Excellent analytical skills
- Excellent organizational skills; as well as the ability and interest to work both independently and collaboratively in a team.
- Significant importance will be given to personal suitability, including flexibility, prioritization abilities, strong collaboration skills, and attention to detail.
Meriting skills: The ideal candidate will have:
- A doctoral degree
- Knowledge and experience in working within healthcare sciences and/or e-health research environments
- Experience of developing and maintaining internal and/or external communication strategies within a research-intensive university environment
