Postdoctoral Research Associates –Chemical Biology, or Bioorganic/Medicinal Chemistry

Postdoctoral Researcher positions are available immediately in Dr. Rong Huang’s lab at the Department of Medicinal Chemistry & Molecular Pharmacology/ Institute for Drug Discovery at Purdue University. More research information can be found out at www.rhuanglab.com.

Core Competencies

Position will focus on design and synthesis of chemical inhibitors for epigenetic targets. Required extensive experience in structure-based design, multi-step organic synthesis including mastery of organic reactions and mechanisms, good knowledge of docking studies and analytical methods including NMR, HPLC and MS. Experience in chemoproteomics research is a plus.

Highly self-motivated candidates with strong interests in an interdisciplinary setting and excellent communication skills are encouraged to apply. Experience

The position requires a PhD in organic/medicinal chemistry, Chemical biology, or a related field of study that has equipped the applicant with the necessary knowledge and skills to perform the duties of the position. Additionally, post doc candidates should have at least two first author publications (out or in press) in peer-reviewed journals.
