YOUR TEAM
You will be working in a multicultural and multi-disciplinary group, where biologists, physicists, and engineers collaborate, each with their own expertise, to carry out common research.
The Optical Approaches to Brain Function Research Line is coordinated by Tommaso Fellin, who has extensive experience in neurophysiology, circuit neuroscience, and neurophotonics.
The research focuses on the application of causal optogenetic approaches to dissect the neural circuits underlying sensory perception in animal models.
Within the team, your main responsibilities will be design and perform scientific experiments. Conduct analysis of collected datasets, write scientific report, and communicate results at scientific meetings.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- A PhD in Neuroscience, Applied physics, or related disciplines
- Documented experience with patch-clamp recordings, two-photon GCaMP imaging, optogenetics, or behavioral experiments is desirable
- A strong publication record
- The ability to properly report, organize and publish research data
- Fluent English

- Experience on writing codes with Matlab or Python
