Position Description

The School of Public Policy invites applications for Fall 2022 Sessional Instructors to teach in our Master of Public Policy program. 

The School of Public Policy is Canada’s leading policy school, which provides hands-on training in Canada and abroad through a Master of Public Policy Program, an Extractive Resource Governance Program, and an Executive Training Program. Its alumni can be found in leadership positions in the private, public and non-profit sectors across Canada.

Our vacant positions include teaching the following course(s):

PPOL 699.01: Energy & Environment Policy
September 6 to December 6, 2022, Tuesdays from 9:00 to 12:00pm

This course provides students with a sophisticated understanding of the current thinking in the area of governance of environmental and social issues in the marketplace. The most recent research findings, case studies and theory development in the rapidly developing field will be explored. Particular attention is paid to the pressing global issue of climate change and the economic impacts – both threats and opportunities – of green-house gas emissions mitigation on energy production and consumption throughout the economy.

Position Requirements
The School of Public policy is seeking candidates to teach each of these courses who have excellent teaching credentials and a demonstrated background in the subject matter for the course. Applicants must have a strong commitment to teaching, particularly at the post-graduate level, and ideally hold an earned doctoral degree in an area closely related to the course to be taught.  Experience as a practitioner would be an asset.
