Course title: Integration & Professional Decision Making Initiatives III, MGT 2285H (1 module – 2 sections)

Description of course: The focus of this course is on Performance Measurement (PM) and Management Decision Making (MDM). Any organization has to have controls and activities in place to ensure that its strategic objectives and goals are met. Underlying these controls and activities are issues involving strategic decision-making, effective governance, risk management and performance evaluation. This course will integrate these issues and other important areas of PM and MDM, such as business valuations, revenue and cost management and management systems and controls, with other topics covered in other courses through the use of integrative case simulations.
Position description: All normal duties related to the design, administration and teaching of a university credit course, including preparation and delivery of course content; supervision of teaching assistants; development, administration and marking of assignments, tests and examinations; calculation and submission of grades to university officials; holding regular student office hours and maintaining reasonable availability for student contact.
Minimum qualifications: Preferred qualifications are either PhD in relevant discipline (completed) or for non University of Toronto graduate students, in progress, or relevant qualifications, professional designation or professional experience. We are seeking previous experience in teaching, teaching excellence, and mastery of subject area. Previous experience in teaching a similar course is highly desirable.
Salary (per module): $8,112
Anticipated enrolment: 85-90
Minimum TA support: 170 hours
