Our HR Department is expanding, and we are looking for enthusiastic individuals who are wanting to develop a career in HR to join our friendly and supportive Employment Support Services team. This is a customer focused role and your main responsibilities day to day will be to assist managers and staff over the phone and via email to help them understand HR policies and procedures, and to administer HR, pay, and benefits processes.

As an administrator in our team, we will give you all the training and support you need to flourish in the role. To be successful, you’ll need to be able to demonstrate high levels of attention to detail and accuracy, be a good communicator, adaptable and responsive to customer needs, and be able to plan and organise multiple requirements at any one time.

We are looking for someone who shares our passion for excellent customer service and who is a strong team player. Ideally you will have experience of working in a data entry or administrative role, and you must have a flexible, positive can-do approach to your work.

As a minimum you will need to have GCSEs in English and Math (C/4 or above) or equivalent and be willing to learn new skills.

At the University of Nottingham, we aim to give you all the support you need to nurture your talent and to help you reach your professional and personal career goals. As a university employee, you will have access to a range of benefits and rewards, including fitness and health facilities, staff discounts and travel schemes, along with a generous holiday allowance and a contributory pension scheme. To find out more about what we can offer you, follow the link here.

These are permanent, full-time opportunities (36.25 hours per week). Arrangements for job share would be considered.

The roles are based in the Human Resources Department on Kings Meadow Campus and will be offered on a hybrid basis with a blended approach of home and office working. Typically, you will work 2 – 3 days per week on campus.

Don’t meet every single requirement? We encourage you to apply anyway as we know that a diverse, inclusive, and authentic workplace is not only a better place to work but also produces higher-quality solutions. We know that a team made up different backgrounds and experiences delivers better projects. Therefore, we are particularly keen to receive applications from groups who are currently underrepresented within our team.

Informal enquiries may be addressed to Pam Tallis, email: pam.tallis@nottingham.ac.uk. Please note that applications sent directly to this email address will not be accepted.
