We are pleased to announce an exciting new opportunity for an enthusiastic Project Support Officer to join Digital & Technology Services at an unprecedented time of change.

The Project Support Officer will play a key role providing programme, project and workstream level co-ordination and support for phased activities as part of our Digital Futures Programme. Working alongside the Project Management team, you will be expected to manage programme, project and workstream plans and work with project colleagues and the wider university to ensure activity remains on track and risks/issues are recorded and escalated through appropriate governance forums.

Your background will ideally include first-hand experience of co-ordinating workstreams within a large business transformation programme. Stakeholder liaison will be a key part of the role so excellent communication skills and experience of building relationships and working across organisational boundaries is essential. The role will be fast-paced, so effective planning and delivering to deadlines should be second nature, as well as being confident when called in to trouble-shoot and problem solve to help achieve project/programme goals.

At the University of Nottingham, we aim to give you all the support you need to nurture your talent, develop, and reach your professional and personal career goals. We are committed to providing competitive employment packages whilst supporting the well-being of our staff to help them reach their full potential. As a university employee, you will have access to a range of benefits and rewards, including fitness and health facilities, staff discounts and travel schemes, along with a generous holiday allowance and attractive pension scheme.

As the successful candidate, you will have a relevant professional qualification and track record of work experience in project/programme management support/co-ordination, ideally you will be qualified to Prince2 Practitioner or Managing Successful Programmes standard.

This position is offered on a fixed term contract until 20 December 2024. Hours of work are part time (18 hours per week).

Requests for secondment from internal candidates may be considered on the basis that prior agreement has been sought from both your current line manager and the manager of your substantive post, if you are already undertaking a secondment role.
