We are currently looking for:

3 (junior/senior) Educational Advisors

You will become part of a team of professional educational advisors at the Centre of Expertise in Learning and Teaching (CELT). The CELT advisors support faculty and program directors in designing and continuously improving all aspects of university teaching: a teaching session, a subject/module, and the entire curriculum, with student learning at its core. We do this by designing and providing training and trajectories, designing materials and advisory and support activities. Teacher professionalization, quality assurance and educational innovation are a number of spearheads in our work. Our advisors work partly in the faculties and partly centrally. In the CELT team, collegial cooperation and learning with and from each other are important principles.

Some of your task/responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting lecturers in their professionalization, among other things by training and supervising teachers during the University Teaching Qualification (UTQ) trajectory.
  • Advising on developments and bottlenecks in the development of educational programmes and teaching.
  • Advising and supporting programs in the context of quality assurance.
  • Advising and supporting projects in various (innovative) educational projects, including in the field of Life Long Learning, Challenged Based Learning and Blended learning.
  • Conducting research into the effectiveness and possible improvements of existing educational models.
  • Conducting research on promising educational methods to be adopted by the UT.

YOUR PROFILE

You are enthusiastic and inspiring, and can work well with teachers, program directors and colleagues alike. In addition to the experience relevant to the position, you have:

  • preferably a Master’s degree in educational studies.
  • demonstrable educational knowledge and experience in higher education.
  • experience with giving educational advice and with educational innovation in higher education.
  • experience in training and supervising teachers aimed at their professionalization, both in groups and individually
  • experience in handling different activities and projects simultaneously, both individually and in teams.
  • excellent consulting and communication skills, preferably both in Dutch and English.

OUR OFFER

  • Part-time/full-time position for 32-38 hours per week
  • Employment contract for the period of one year with a view to permanent employment if performance is good and circumstances remain the same.
  • Salary min € 3.226,= or max € 5.929,= gross per month for full-time employment, in accordance with UFO profile Education Advisor level 3 or 2 of the Collective Labour Agreement of Dutch Universities and depending on education and experience.
