You will be the first point of contact for the faculty board of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science (EEMCS) on marketing-related issues for the education portfolio of EEMCS and its 5 Bachelor’s and 8 Master’s programmes, which you will take up yourself or in close cooperation with your marketing and communication colleagues within the MC-EEMCS team.

Topics you will be involved with include:

  • development and implementation of a marketing and communication strategy appropriate to the faculty’s education portfolio;
  • (re)positioning issues of programmes, cooperation with other universities such as the VU and marketing a new programme;
  • in a broader sense, the recruitment of students for the Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science faculty programmes;
  • the marketing of new, faculty-transcending projects, such as the Robotics Centre and the new master’s in Robotics. In this centre, education and research come together.

Together with your colleague marketer, you will contribute to:

  • online visibility and appropriate, (target group) targeted content for e.g. new master’s sites, (programme) presentations and (digital) brochures.
  • the half-yearly (Online) Open Days in cooperation with the staff and students of the programmes and other marketers of the department.

You do all this based on the student journey and a data-driven strategy.

Good relationships and networking are important in this position:

  • You are interlocutor for the faculty board and advisor to programmes on recruitment strategy and their message.
  • You will work with student teams helping with recruitment events, such as open days.
  • You will also work with colleagues on a marketing communication plan for further profiling the faculty’s education and research.

YOUR PROFILE

  • You have a completed HBO or WO education in Marketing and/or Communication with at least 5 years of relevant marketing experience.
  • You have a good feel for (political) relations within large organisations; experience in a complex organisation with ditto issues is a plus.
  • You are a team player and sensitive connector who is able to switch between the interests of the faculty and those of the UT as a whole.
  • You stand firm and show ownership; you can enthuse colleagues and internal clients and get them on board with new ideas.
  • In addition to your strategic and analytical brainpower, you are a proactive doer, you like variety and you are good at (re)prioritising on the basis of the set mc goals.
  • You have an excellent command of both Dutch and English (C1 level), both orally and in writing.

OUR OFFER

  • Part-time/full-time position for 32-38 hours per week.
  • Employment contract for the period of one year with a view to permanent employment if performance is good and circumstances remain the same.
  • Salary max € 4,090 gross per month for full-time employment, in accordance with UFO profile Communication Advisor 3 (scale 10) of the Collective Labour Agreement of Dutch Universities and depending on education and experience.
