Then join the editorial team of the online journal Demographic Research! at the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research. We are looking for an Assistant Managing Editor (m/f/d) (part-time, 19.5 hours/week).

What to expect

A diverse work environment with a range of administrative and coordinative tasks essential to the production of an online journal. This includes, for example, guiding articles thorough the editorial and production process; contacting authors, reviewers, and scientific editors; and maintaining the journal’s database and online presence. You will work independently in a small team and in close coordination with the editorial management.

What experiences should you bring to the job?

You have good administrative skills, good knowledge of MS Office applications, and a near-native command of English. You have a keen eye for detail, you are experienced in communication, and you are willing to learn to use subject-specific software.

Our offer

Remuneration is commensurate to qualification and tasks and paid up to scale 9a TVöD Bund (the German Wage Agreement for the Public Sector). It includes employees’ benefits in accordance with the rules of federal employees in Germany.

The position is to be filled as soon as possible. The place of work is Rostock.
